Prior to specialization, she practiced general dentistry after earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completing a General Practice Residency. This comprehensive clinical foundation informed her decision to pursue advanced specialty training in endodontics.

During residency, Dr. Tamula received the Clinical Proficiency Award of Excellence in Endodontics and completed a master’s thesis evaluating postoperative pain modulation following periradicular surgery using specialized pro-resolving mediators.
